John McCarthy

John McCarthy, aged 85, of Ocean Springs, passed away early in the morning of Thursday, February 9th,
2023 peacefully in his home.

A late in life transplant to the gulf coast, John and his wife moved to Mississippi from Missouri to be
closer to their family on the gulf coast. Before retiring, he was an auto body repair mechanic. He had a
long time love of bowling, passing that love down to the next generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Viola (Hamm,) his wife Janet (Schmitt,) son Ronald,
and grandson Steven. He is survived by his children, John (Cassandra,) Pat (Melinda,) grandchildren Amanda (Aaron,)
Christina (Ryan,) and Michael. He had 6 great-grandchildren.
