John Mendon McMurrian

John Mendon McMurrian, 69, of D'Iberville died October 9, 2007 in D'Iberville. John was a lifelong resident of D'Iberville. He was a graduate of D'Iberville High School where he played on the first football team. John was a graduate of Perkinston Jr. College. He was retired from Biloxi Police Department and The Department of Marine Resource Law Enforcement as a Major. John was employed with Ingalls shipbuilding and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Masonic Magnolia Lodge # 120. He was owner of Mac's Power Shack and held many power lifting records. John is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Cecil and Rhoda McMurrian, and a brother, Leonard McMurrian. Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth B. McMurrian Hutto of Shreveport, LA and his companion, Jane Horton. Visitation is Monday, October 15, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Both will take place at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
