John Ross

John Ross 67, of Vancleave, MS passed away on March 2, 2016. Born in Port Gibson, MS, he was the 6th of 7 children. John graduated from Central High School in Jackson and went on to MS College in Clinton, MS with a degree in Accounting. He moved to Texas where he was the owner of several different businesses before coming back to Mississippi to live out his life. John was a loving and kind man and will be missed greatly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Ross of Port Gibson, MS. John is survived by two sons, Tim Ross of Dalton, GA and Compton Ross of Madison, MS; three sisters, Anne Ross (Peter J.) Heinle of Vancleave, Jean Ross Clark of Moss Point and Camille Ross Chappell of Vancleave; three granddaughters and one grandson; three brothers, Dr. Sid (Cynthia) Ross of Moss Point, Samuel (Judy) Ross of Novato, CA and Frank (Dr. Carolyn) Ross of Cookville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507. Private services will be held. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
