John F Wilkerson

John F. Wilkerson, age 93, of Long Beach died Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Pass Christian. He was born in Lucedale and had been a resident of the coast most of his life. He retired in 1986 from Kennedy Space Center and was a US Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He enjoyed traveling and dancing. He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Niolet Wilkerson of Long Beach; a son, Milton Wilkerson of Gulfport; a brother, Buford Wilkerson of Ocean Springs; a granddaughter, Lauren B. Wilkerson, three great-grandsons, Chris, Joey, Johnny; and two nephews. The funeral service will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with honors by the U.S. Navy.
