Jonnabel "June" Matuguina Abangan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was born on November 19, 1972, in Cebu City, Philippines, to Genera Lewis and the late Laudico Abangan.
June was a graduate of Biloxi High School and earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Southern Mississippi followed by a master's degree from Western Governors University. She dedicated more than 21 years of service as a Medical Technologist at the VA Hospital before continuing her career as a Regional Technical Application Specialist with Siemens Healthineers.
June had a passion for traveling, shopping, visiting museums and churches around the world, and making memories with her beloved spouse. She also adored her five dogs—Shelby, Fluffy, Chanel, Big G, and Baby G—who were truly part of her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Laudico Abangan.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Ngoc Luu; her mother, Genera Lewis; her stepfather, Greg Lewis; her sister-in-law, Tien Truong; her brother-in-law, Truong Vo; her cherished dogs, Shelby, Fluffy, Chanel, Big G, and Baby G; her godchildren, Adriana, Aldrin and Arren Feliciano; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Instate will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to their many friends, family members, and everyone who offered love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
