Joseph "Joe" Grantland Green

Joseph Grantland "Joe" Green, age 67, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

Joe entered this world on November 2, 1956, to Helen and Ralph Green in Gulfport, MS.  He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and University of Houston. Joe’s family was the most important thing to him. His life career was in redi-mix concrete and he won many awards and was well respected in the industry.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Ralph Green and his grandson, Wyatt Turley.

Joe is survived by his sweetheart of 41 years, Elizabeth Green; his four children, Afton and Joe Figueroa, Jacob and Anna Green, Juston and Aaron Turley and Kelly Green; his grandchildren, Jacob Green, Jr, Kellie Ann Green, Ryker Turley and Gunner Turley.  He is also survived by his sisters, Gail and Tom Jones and Nena and Jim Lindsay and his brother; John and Dottie Green.   He also leaves behind his beloved cat of 13 years and his neighbor’s dog, Tucker.

There will be a visitation at 10 am and service at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at 11148 Klein Road, Gulfport 39503.   Interment will follow at Handsboro Cemetery.
