Joseph Wallace Rood, Jr. “Joe Joe Bean” by his mom, 35 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 in Jackson, MS.

He was born on April 23, 1991 in Gulfport, MS to Stephanie J. Logan. He was a graduate of Ocean Springs High School. He was a member of Ocean Springs Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and working on cars.

Joseph was preceded in death by his pawpaw, Riley E. Logan; grandfather, Robert E. Keel; and his loyal beloved pet, Gromit.

He is survived by his mom, Stephanie Jean Logan; brother, Matthew D. Bertram; nephew, Sebastian Bertram; grandmother, Eileen Logan; and his aunts, Shelly Logan, Shannon (Stephen) Dearin, Samantha (Herman) Bosarge, and Holly (Carlos) Keel-Sanchez.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and doctors on the second-floor MICU of University of Mississippi Medical Center for their compassionate and loving care towards Joseph.

Honorary Pallbearers are Gavin Riley Logan, Chase Alexander Bosarge, Evan Brady Bosarge, Sidney Jillian Dearin, Seth James Dearin, Sean Logan Dearin, Jennifer Raucci, Alyssa Keel, Patrick Travis, Jordan Coon.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held at Ocean Springs Church of Christ.
