Joshua Lee Schmidt

Joshua “Josh” Lee Schmidt, 43, came into the world on July 10, 1980 in Biloxi, MS and passed suddenly on April 5, 2024 in Ocean Springs, MS. 

Josh was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved the water. He absolutely adored his daughters. They were his pride and joy. His dream of marrying his true love was fulfilled five years ago.  Not a day went by that he and his wife did not glow with happiness for their life together. 

Josh had a smile that could light up a room, strong arms that gave great hugs and swung his girls in the air while producing giggles that delighted all around. Those who met him will remember his strong faith and the eagerness he had to share it with others. He was a hard worker and completely devoted to his family and friends. The impact he made will continue to be felt by those who knew and loved him.  His faith will be a testament and comfort to many.

Joshua was welcomed into Heaven by His Lord and Savior, his mother Mary Dymphna Schmidt and his grandfather Charles Wesley Schmidt, Sr.

Josh is survived and remembered by his wife, Tina Hebert Schmidt; his daughters, Kayleigh, Alyssa, and Leela; his grandmother, Theresa B. Schmidt; his father, Charles “Chuck” (Shannon) Schmidt, Jr; his siblings, Jeremy (Rosemarie) Schmidt and Summer Seymour; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Cedar Lake Christian Assembly on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
