Joyce Sandra Donton Kleinfelter

Joyce Kleinfelter, age 69, loving mother of two, and adoring wife to husband, Russel Kleinfelter, passed away in the afternoon of November 16, 2022.

Joyce was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to the late Hiram Donton and Naomi Hoy on February 19, 1953.  Joyce attended Pine Grove High School.  She met her husband, Russel in July 1971 and they married December 24, 1971.  Joyce was influenced by her family to be a strong, loving, and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. 

Joyce took pride in the family’s gun business, Kleinfelter’s Firearms Unlimited, where she worked side by side with her husband, best friend, and soul mate, Russel, from 1976-1986.  In 1986, the family moved to Biloxi, MS where they grew a passion for exotic birds and eventually opened an exotic bird business, Fancy Feathers of Biloxi.  Joyce was also a bus driver for the Biloxi School District.  In her free time, Joyce loved to bake, knit and spoil her dogs, specifically Squirt.   

Joyce was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Russel Kleinfelter; father, Hiram Donton; mother, Naomi Hoy; and her four siblings, Ronald Donton, Rickey Donton, Joan Rittel, and Leona Bohr.

Joyce is survived by her two children, Kris Kleinfelter (Jeff) Rosa and Kelly Kleinfelter (Chris) Dennis; four grandchildren, Tiffany Lombardo (Chris) Pigage, Ashley Rosa (John) Schubert, Alyssa Rosa, and Joshua Lombardo; four great-grandchildren, Lilliana Gibbings, Evelyn Schubert, Jaxon Tuel, and Elijah Schubert; and a very special adopted son, Christopher Tate, whom was also her caregiver until the very end.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave, Biloxi, MS.  Friends may visit one hour prior.
