Juana Sue Neeley Roy, 57 died Saturday, 30 August 2014 in Warner Robins, GA after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Sue was born Wednesday, 14 August 1957 in Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola FL,
where she spent her early childhood. She liked to say "I am an Air Force brat and have lived in many places while Daddy was on active duty" and "I've seen a lot and I've made a difference."
Sue is preceded in death by her daddy, John L. Neeley, her brother, Steve D. Neeley , her maternal grandparents Jerry and Ila Kee, her paternal grandparents John and Elise Neeley and Farris and Lorraine Wilson.
Sue is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 24 years David Roy of Warner Robins, GA and Ocean Springs, MS. Her mother, Ruth K. Neeley of Ocean Springs, MS, her son John Guice Jr, (Natosha) Ocean Springs, MS, her daughter, Jeri Sue (Talbert) Dunn (Chris) of Ocean Springs, MS, stepson Keith Roy (Toni) of Gulfport, MS and her grandchildren, John Guice III, Ayla Guice, Dakotah Dunn, Bryant Dunn, Isabelle Dunn, Hannah Roy and Logan Roy, her "man's best friend", Shadow and brother cat Gypsy. Her sisters Barbara Wilson of TN, Coy and Cindy Jones of OK, her brothers Steve Drew of AL and David Wilson of TX.. her aunts Mary McDaniel (Mac) of Fountain FL and Jeri Edge (John) of Pensacola FL, her Niece Lauren Neeley and nephew Jason Neeley and sister in law Belinda Neeley, Biloxi, MS. She has many special cousins, including "big sister" Cricket Carroll, FL and Cheryl Kennedy Coates of Utah.
Sue was employed with AAFES Department of Defense for 24 years. She was recently promoted to General Manager at Robins and Moody AFB, GA and last week she reached her ultimate goal, a promotion to Eglin AFB, FL, always striving to be closer to her mom with each move.
Sue is a member and Past Royal Matron of Mobile Court No.7, of Mobile AL, Order of the Amaranth & Adah Chapter #49 Order of the Eastern Stars of Ocean Spring, MS.
Sue is loved by many friends and coworkers. She will be missed by all who came in contact with her and her wonderful personality.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter 4400 Audubon Lane, Gautier, MS 39553.
A memorial service will be held Friday, 5 September 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 5:00 pm until service time. A graveside service will be held Saturday, 6 September 2014 at 11:00 am at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Sue came into the world laughing and went to heaven with a smile on her face. She will always be sweet in our memory!
