Judith "Judy" Ione Webb Meyers

March 22, 1940 — April 14, 2026

Ocean Springs

Judith "Judy" Ione Webb Meyers, a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, was called home to God on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 86. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home in Ocean Springs.

Born on March 22, 1940, in Biloxi, Judy was the eldest child of Elvin and Christine Webb. A proud graduate of Ocean Springs High School, she carried a lifelong love for her community and its vibrant culture. Judy was an entrepreneur at heart, co-owning local clothing boutique, and possessed a keen, elegant eye for interior design. A woman of deep faith, Judy was a cornerstone of both St. Alphonsus and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Churches. Following the passing of her beloved husband, she dedicated herself fully to the church; she served as a vital support system for the parish and a dear friend to Rev. Father Bernard Farrell. Her community involvement was vast; she was a long-time member of the Junior Auxiliary of Ocean Springs, The Garden Club, The Bulletin for the church, and a joyful reveler in several Mardi Gras Krewe functions. Judy was a true artist at heart who found peace in painting; she also took great pride in fundraising and event planning and hosting. Judy was passionate about bringing together family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. So many cherished memories were made throughout the years. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and parishioner whose legacy is defined by her unwavering commitment to family and faith.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Elvin and Christine Webb; her granddaughter, Meghan Meyers, her husband, Donald Meyers, Sr.; her sister, LaJuan Webb Fowler; her son, Donald Meyers, Jr.

Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family: her sisters, Kathy Webb Randolph and Nell Webb Reeves; her brother, Elvin Timothy Webb; her granddaughters, Melissa Meyers Thomas and Courtney Meyers Cotton, her grandson, Dylan Meyers; her great grandchildren, Christian and Peyton Thomas and Zarcus and August Cotton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Judy's "home away from home." Contributions may be made directly to the church or given to one of her two granddaughters for submission. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Courtney Meyers Cotton and her family for the unimaginable sacrifices made to provide Judy with round-the-clock care, compassion, and love. Your dedication surpassed all expectations and provided Judy with dignity and comfort in her final years. A special thanks to Father Michael Snyder and the St. Alphonsus community for their loyal friendship, and to Notre Dame Hospice for their compassionate care during Judy's transition to God. Your actions will never be forgotten. Contributions Info: St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Re: Judith Meyers Donation 502 Jackson Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564
