Mrs. Julia Ann Smith Winstead, age 90, of Biloxi, MS., died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Winstead was born on June 23, 1921 in Little Rock, MS. She was a lifetime member of Adah Chapter #49 of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a woman of wonderful character and loving spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Oliver Winstead, mother, Susie Smith, father, Erastus Ofarral "E.O." Smith, brothers Malcolm Smith, Doc Smith and Kenneth Smith. Survivors include three sons, Jacob F. (Andrea) Winstead of Biloxi, MS., Patrick "Mike" (Linda) Winstead of Las Vegas, NV., and Samuel N. (Margo) Winstead of Houston, TX., two brothers, N.F. Smith and Billy Smith, seven grandchildren, Jacob R. (Bobi) Winstead, Natalie (Kerry) Fountain, Sarah (Robert) Compton, Samuel Winstead, Aaron Winstead, Sally (Rusty) Williams, and Ginger (Lee) Carmichael, and six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Madeline, Addison, Lucas, Amanda and Geoffrey. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 9 am until 11 am, with an 11 am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
