Julius "Conch" Cannette

Mr. Julius J. "Conch" Cannette, 74, of N. Biloxi, MS died Friday, April 1, 2005, in Gulfport. Mr. Cannette was a native of N. Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a decorated U. S. Army Veteran of WW II and a commercial fisherman. Mr. Cannette was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius J. and Lucy Teretta Cannette and aa brother, Elvin Cannette. Survivors include his caretaker, Donna Hill, a sister, Marie Reinhart; four brothers, George Cannette, Lee Cannette, Michael Cannette and Angelo Cannette and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville where friends may visit one hour before service time.
