Kaleb Ryan Engle

Kaleb Ryan Engle, age 23, was taken far too soon, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by his loss. Kaleb was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, boyfriend, friend, and a proud father-to-be. He was known for his infectious spirit, his love for life, and the enormous heart he carried so naturally.

Kaleb is preceded in death by his Papa, James Fox; his Mawmaw, Shaunah Alexander; and his Pawpaw, Sam Elder, whom he loved dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, GracieMae Smith, and their unborn son, Wilson Engle, who will grow up knowing how deeply his father was loved and how excited Kaleb was to become a dad. Kaleb is also survived by his mother, Regina Posey; his father, Shawn Engle, and stepmother, Brooke Engle; and his siblings, Theron Engle (wife, Avery and daughters, Lucy and Lainey), Madison Engle (Eric Guillory), Annistyn Posey, Jase Engle, Jaxon Engle, and Sophie Waltman. He is also survived by his grandparents, David and Donna Engle, Susan Waits (Wayne), Larry Alexander, and Faye Elder; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who were blessed to know him.

Kaleb loved the water and felt most at home on it—whether fishing, boating, or simply spending time outdoors. He had a special passion for hunting, especially duck hunting, and he was always up for a good time. Kaleb had a rare ability to make people laugh, feel comfortable, and feel loved. He loved big, lived fully, and gave his heart freely.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit from 12 pm till service time.

Though his time here was far too short, Kaleb’s impact was profound. His laughter, kindness, and love will live on through the many lives he touched and through his son, who will forever carry a piece of him forward.

Kaleb Ryan Engle will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
