Kara Lynne Walters Birtwhistle, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Kara was a native of Laurel, MS. She was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church. She worked at the Biloxi VA as a licensed practical nurse before retiring.
Kara was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Otella Walters; and husband, Robert D. “Mike” Birtwhistle.
She is survived by daughter, Caryle Lena (Tony); sons, Steven D. Ward and Gary Ward (Tracy); grandchildren, Taylor Draper, Jeremy Draper, David Lena (Trinity); and many other grand-children and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Heritage United Methodist Church. Friends may visit one hour before.
