Karen Lynne Gatineau

The family of Karen Lynne Gatineau (Jones) of Biloxi, MS is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the age of 62 years. Born on November 2, 1963, Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Lester Jones and Mary Ruth Allen (Johnson); her stepfather, Vernard Leland Allen; and her dear brother, James Dale Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Paul Gatineau, Sr. (Biloxi, MS); her son, Elliot Lensgraf (Omaha, NE); her stepsons, Peter Paul Gatineau, Jr. and Christopher James (Biloxi, MS); her brothers, Edward Eugene Johnson (Lafayette, IN) and Michael Anthony Jones (Crawfordsville, IN); and her sister, Letha Fay Lawson (North Augusta, SC).

Karen had a soft spot for her furry friends treating each and every one like the valuable family members they were. Karen attended Crawfordsville High School before joining the United States Army. She retired from the Biloxi VA Medical Center.

Karen will always be remembered for her indomitable spirit and witty sense of humor. She had a passion for travel and kayaking.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
