Karen Kay Strong
November 15th, 1949 - May 2, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and so much love that we are mourning our angel, Karen Kay Strong, of Pass Christian, Mississippi. She gained her wings at 75 years old, when she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She blessed us all with her presence, and her memory will be forever cherished. Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Karen was a lifelong resident who brought warmth, humor, and love to all who knew her. She had a STRONG love for her family and found great joy in spoiling her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She also had a huge soft spot for animals – especially her cat, Smokey, and her fish, Jellyroll. Her passion for helping both people and animals in need was one of her defining angelic qualities. Karen especially enjoyed listening to music by Elvis Presley and The Beatles, and she took great pride in collecting vintage antiques and mementos. She was known for her sense of humor, generous heart, and her ability to put a smile on all those around her. She left behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Strong and Clara Mae (Murrell) Strong; her beloved one and only son, Keith Louviere; her grandson, Austin Louviere; and her brother, Gary Strong.
Karen is survived by the love of her life, John Eubanks; her cherished grandchildren, Chase Louviere and Macy Louviere; and her great-granddaughter, Sailor May Louviere. She also leaves behind her brother, Dennis Strong (Betty); her sister, Nancy Walters (Don); her sister-in-law, Deanna Strong; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Karen’s name to the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Following the service, Karen will be laid to rest beside her beloved and only son, Keith Louviere, in the family mausoleum at Old Biloxi Cemetery.
May her memories live on in everlasting peace, love, and harmony.
