Kathryn Premeaux

Kathryn Lopez Premeaux, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 83.

Kathryn was born on March 28, 1943, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She shared 38 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Buris Premeaux, Jr. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and the many memories they created throughout the years.

Kathryn’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Mary Saucier (Tommy), John Premeaux (Monique), and Sherry Deshamp (Barry); her grandchildren, Ethan Saucier, Kayla Saucier, Kathryn and Clifford Horn, Kristen and Christian Howze, and Daniel Deshamp; and her great-grandchildren, Gracie Saucier, Adeline Powers, and Mary, Caroline, and Will Horn.

Her love, strength, wisdom, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward through the generations and cherish the countless moments they were blessed to share with her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Brookdale Assisted Living, The Claiborne, and St. Joseph Hospice. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, kindness, patience, and loving care each of you provided to Kathryn throughout her journey. Your care and support brought comfort not only to her, but also to our family, and we will forever be thankful.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kathryn’s memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Humane Society of South Mississippi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi Cemetery. 

Though she will be deeply missed, Kathryn's love will live on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
