Kathy “Kay” Harmon Laabs, 60, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Laabs was born in Hattiesburg, MS and was a resident of the coast for over 35 years. She was an employee of the Hwy 49 South Waffle House for 15 years and was known as “Ms. Kay”. Mrs. Laabs was of the Christian faith.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Joseph Harmon; and her mother and step-father, Patsy Smith Bullard and T.C. Bullard.
Mrs. Laabs’ survivors include her husband of 24 years, Bill Laabs; her daughters, Wendy (Carlos) Villa and Allison (Jim) Hessel; her son, Adam Laabs; her grandchildren, Rosemary, Nicholas, Jay and Jack; her step-mother, Sheryl Ann Harmon; her sisters, Diane, Kimberly, Rosie and Romona; and her brothers, Carl (Stephanie) and Kevin (Jo Ann).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with funeral services on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 am all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
