Kelsey Marissa Williams, age 18, precious and loving daughter of Jay and Kathleen (Stakelum) Williams of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Ocean Springs

Kelsey was born in Atlanta, GA on March 21, 1994. She was a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, a senior at Ocean Springs High School, a member of the Ocean Springs Cotillion. Kelsey cherished her time on the swim team and the cross country and track teams. She was looking forward to attending the University of South Alabama in the fall.
Kelsey was a beautiful light in the world, full of love and kindness, and it was rare to see her without a smile. She lived life to the fullest so she would never have regrets. Kelsey also strongly believed in never going to bed angry with anyone. She relied on her faith in God and turned nightly to her Bible for guidance. Kelsey endured and overcame many challenges and always pushed herself to the limit.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers Ivo Stakelum and Don Topp.
She is survived by her parents; grandparents Gladys Stakelum of Waveland, MS; Betty Topp of Montgomery, AL; Jim and Pat Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 11 am until 1 pm, with a 1 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
