Kenneth D. Jones, Sr.

Kenneth D. Jones, Sr. was born on September 15, 1944, and passed away at 76 years of age on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS, where he owned his own mechanic shop for many years. He started working as a mechanic with his dad at 14 years old and eventually opened his own place. Mr. Jones was a loving father, fantastic friend, and the best Poppy (Grandpa) a person could ask for. Everyone who met him loved him. He was a family man who loved laughing and being surrounded by friends and family. He enjoyed having get-togethers at his shop, “The Beau Garage,” watching NASCAR, and going to Cruisin’ the Coast. He liked seeing people happy. Although he was a little shy, he was always making people laugh. He was an honest, hardworking, self-less man who loved his family and always made sure they had what they needed. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Jones, Sr. and Mildred Jones; his brothers, Lamar Jones, Jr. and Larry Jones; and his sister, Shirley Swiney. He is survived by his son, Ken Jones, Jr.; his daughter, Angela Jones; three grandchildren, Amber Jones Brignac (Travis), Luke Seymour and Austin Schonewitz; two great-grandchildren, Brody Brignac and Tripp Brignac; three sisters, Dianne Gollott, Judy Waits and Melba Hendry; and many nieces and nephews. At the request of Mr. Jones, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jones family.
