Kenneth Ray Lassabe, Sr., 84, of Long Beach, Mississippi passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn; their children, Kenneth Ray (Becky) Lassabe, Jr. and Karen (James (“Jimmy”)) Sears; and his 6 grandchildren: Jenny, Kayla (Dallas), Kimberlee, Courtney, Alex (Daisy), Sam and Jaylan (Erin); and his 14 great grandchildren (Savanna (Josh), Brianna, Caylon, Jayden, Aubrey, Lily, Liam, Delilah, Eleanor, Oliver, Cooper, Eva, Manny and Lemon).
Kenneth, a native of the Gulf Coast, was a simple man and a great carpenter by trade. He loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, exploring. Kenneth loved to tell stories to anyone who listened and was a great listener and advisor when you needed him. He loved the Lord. He touched so many lives in everything he did and was a true blessing to all who knew him.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Emmanuel and Pearl Mary Lassabe, brothers: Robert Lassabe and Ramie Lassabe and sisters: Margie Lewis, Ruby Threadgill and Catherine LoPresto. He is also survived by his siblings: Victor J (Marlene) Lassabe, Marie (Cecil) Borzik, Joyce (Carl) Guillory and Kay (Joey) Ross; and his pets: Tom and Diamond.
Kenneth’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him and we will dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to us. He will forever be remembered by his loved ones, which includes many nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of friends.
Memorial Service for friends and family will be at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with visitation 1:00 -3:00 pm and services at 3:00 pm.
A graveside service for the family will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 am at Conn Cemetery in Long Beach, Mississippi.
