Kenneth S. Beasley, 82, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Beasley was born in Hamilton, Ontario and after marriage lived in North Boston, NY. He worked many years as a baker and steel worker. After retiring he and his wife moved to Gulfport where their son Kenneth was in the military. They moved to Oxford, Ms where he worked for RPM & Davis (Domino's Pizza) as a courier. They lived in Oxford for 18 years and then moved back to Gulfport because of ill health. Mr. Beasley loved the outdoors and sports. He enjoyed fishing and playing for town hockey and baseball teams in Canada. He played on bowling teams for 40 years, golfed, and played cards with his family and enjoyed shooting pool with his grandsons. Grandpa always won. He enjoyed the love of many friends and nieces and nephews. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Irene; his parents, Kenneth and Beatrice Hines Beasley; brothers, Chester, William, and Gordon; and sisters, Lillian, Gertrude, and Estella. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary; and five children, Robert Beasley (Stacey) of Kenmore, NY, Kenneth Beasley (Linda) of Gulfport, Michael Beasley (Terrie) of Gulfport, Mary Moore (Stephen) of Sebastian, FL and Estella Herbert (Richard Marcin) of Pittsburg, PA; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles Reiford (Jewell) of Hayesville, NC. A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 12 noon.
