Kim Denise Baldwin

Mar 27, 1960 — Aug 7, 2026

Biloxi

Kim Baldwin, age 66, a lifelong resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Kim is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 46 years, Marc; her daughters, Amanda Baldwin Eike and Lacy Baldwin Cunningham and husband, Spencer; her beloved grandchildren, Braxton, Martha Kate, Chloe, and Corbin; her brother, Eugene Brown; her nephew, Hugh St. Martin; and her niece, Ashley St. Martin.

To know Kim was to know love, kindness, and generosity. She had an innate way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged. Her love extended far beyond her own family, and throughout her community she became a mother figure, mentor, and trusted friend to many who affectionately knew her as “Mama Kim.” She was always ready with a listening ear, words of encouragement, and the kind of wise counsel that stayed with you long after the conversation ended. So many lives are better because Kim was a part of them.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Watts Ashley Brown, and her sisters, Frankie Watts Slowey and Linda B. St. Martin.

Kim graduated from Biloxi High School in 1977. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and later earned her master’s degree from William Carey University. She spent her career doing what came so naturally to her—teaching, encouraging, and caring for others. As a beloved educator and librarian at D’Iberville Elementary and D’Iberville Middle School, she touched the lives of countless students, families, and coworkers throughout the years.

Outside of the classroom, Kim found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She was an avid gardener, a lover of the natural world, an enthusiastic reader, and a talented artist who created beautiful works of glass art. She appreciated beauty in all its forms and had a special gift for creating it herself.

Of all the titles Kim held throughout her life, one of her most treasured was Gigi. Her four grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She delighted in creating memories with them and carrying on the family tradition of road-trip adventures, making crafts together, spending days at the beach, and being there for the many little and big “firsts” in each of their lives. She gave them the precious gift of her time, her attention, and an abundance of love. The memories she created with Braxton, Martha Kate, Chloe, and Corbin will remain a beautiful part of her legacy for generations to come.

Kim loved deeply, gave generously, encouraged endlessly, and made the people around her feel special. Her family will miss her more than words can express, but they find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, surrounded by a love greater than we can understand. Her love, wisdom, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
