MSgt Kirk "Fergy" S. Ferguson, age 67, of Biloxi, MS passed away in his home on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Fergy was born April 25, 1958, in Great Falls, Montana on Malstrom Air Force Base. Fergy followed in his father and brothers’ footsteps and joined the United States Air Force. Due to his extensive career in the United States Air Force, Fergy was able to travel the world, which he loved. He had a passion for seeing and learning new things. He always took pride in the stories he could tell us about his travels. Eventually Fergy settled down in Biloxi where he married the love of his life, Barbara Angeron. After retiring from the Air Force, he became a crucial employee of FEMA around the time Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. He continued his work with FEMA until his passing.
Fergy took great pride in both of his careers, as he did in his family. He was the kindest, most genuine person anyone ever had the pleasure of meeting. His family always came first, through good times and bad. Fergy stood as the beckon of hope, love and safety. Always quick with a joke, up until his last days, he kept everyone near and dear to him smiling. He was a wonderful friend, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him and to love him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William P. Ferguson Sr and Doris J. Knicely Ferguson; and by his wife, Barbara A. Ferguson.
Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Alisha M. Quin Glenn (44) and her husband, Clinton M. Glenn (40); three grandchildren, Ansalynn M. Kelly (25), Cristian R. Kelly (20) and Ansleigh M. Kelly (14); great-granddaughter, Lockynn E. Kelly (1); brother and family, William P. Ferguson Jr and Terri Crow Ferguson; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery where both Kirk and Barbara will be laid to rest.
