Larry Mitchell Beckham

December 24, 1970 — September 6, 2024

Gulfport

Larry Mitchell Beckham, age 53, of Gulfport, Mississippi lost his fight with pancreatic cancer on September 6, 2024. He died at his home, in the arms of his wife of almost fifteen years, Samantha Beckham. While born in Alabama, Larry was a Texan at heart, raised in Helotes, TX. He moved to Mississippi in his late teen years.

In his 20’s, Larry had two practice wives, Dawn and Lori, with which he had his children. His adult children include Daphne Carroll (Mark), Larry “Mitch” Beckham, Jr., and Morgan Beckham. He was a proud “Papaw Larry” to five grandchildren, Sadie, Jesse, Hailie, Bonnie, and Logan. While Larry was a phenomenal uncle to most every child he met, Clayton, Emma, Charlie, the twins – Gabby and William, Colton, and Tripp had his unconditional adoration. He told them each they were his favorite. He is sorely missed by all that knew him, but especially his dogs, Yoda and Rosie Beckham.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, brother and grandparents. Larry had a tendency to grow like a fungus on those that took the time to get to know his heart. He was loved dearly by his wife and in-laws, Tambra Winters, Terry Winters and Sue, Justin Winters, and Crystal Winters.

Larry had so much love. After Sam, he loved Star Wars, Legos, and working with his hands. He had many jobs over the years, but he loved his job cooking at the Pour House in Gulfport the most. He joked that he came with the building, as he worked for 3 different owners over the last decade and a half, the best being one of his first friends in the building, Amanda. He loved his work family and appreciated their unwavering support.

The family will be at the Pour House in Gulfport on September 21, 2024 from Noon to Five PM for a Benefit/Celebration of Larry’s Life. He wanted to be stuffed, but as that was not an option, he will be cremated and returned to the apple of his eye, Sam.

Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Beckham family.
