Larry L. Feister, 74, of Ocean Springs, passed away on February 13, 2024, at his home.
Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clyde and Elva (Stauffer) Feister. He was the husband of Linda (Taranto) Feister with whom he shared 20 years of marriage.
Larry served in both the US Navy and Mississippi Air National Guard for over 25 years. He was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren including watching sports and participating in any and all school activities. Known as “Mr. Halloween Man” by the neighborhood kids, you could always depend on him to have the spookiest yard in the neighborhood and was even interviewed by WLOX. He put the same energy into any holiday decorations, including annual Easter and Christmas displays. When he wasn’t working in his yard, he was working on his 1962 Impala and enjoyed Cruisin’ the Coast with his fellow car enthusiasts.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda (Taranto) Feister; children: Jennifer (Jonathan) Ludwig and Greg (Debbie) Feister; his grandchildren: Caitlyn Ludwig, Nathan Ludwig, Breanna Feister and Makenzie Feister; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Feister and John Feister; and his sister Jane Witmer.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends may visit one hour prior.
We ask that any of his fellow Cruisers who are in attendance to bring their cars and join us for one final cruise to the Biloxi National Cemetery for internment.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans @ help.dav.org
