Larry D. McGill, Jr., 65, of D’Iberville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Born May 31, 1961, in Biloxi, Larry was the son of the late Larry Don McGill, Sr. and Melba Delancey McGill. He was a proud graduate of D’Iberville High School, Class of 1979.
Larry was a hardworking, humble, and dependable man. He spent most of his career as an electrician, dedicating many years of his life to his work with DNP, Inc. He took pride in his work and in being someone others could count on.
But Larry’s greatest pride was his family. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren, Arny Gollott IV, Faith Rae Gollott, and Fen Aldrich, held a particularly special place in his heart whom they affectionately called PawPaw Larry. He cherished every moment with them and the memories they made together especially during their annual decorating of Christmas lights that could be seen from the North Pole itself. His love was often shown through his presence, his hard work, his loyalty, his listening ear, and the quiet ways he cared for those around him.
Larry also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Pepper.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Don McGill, Sr. and Melba Delancey McGill.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts, including his children, Jamie Rae Gollott (Arny) and Emily Puzz Aldrich (Chris); his grandchildren, Arny Gollott IV, Faith Rae Gollott, and Fen Aldrich; his siblings, Lynn Lemay (Jim), Russell McGill (Lori), David McGill (Christy) and Tammy Martin (Chris).
He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Chris Lemay, Jennifer Lemay, Carrie McGill, Howard McGill, Taylor Morton (Zac), Lindsey Moses (John Michael), and Shelby Martin, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews who brought him tremendous joy.
