Lena May Byrd

Mrs. Lena Husley Byrd, 94, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011, in Biloxi. Mrs. Byrd was born in Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the Cedar Lake Community. She was retired from Howard Memorial Hospital and a member of Cedar Lake United Methodist Church.???? Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Buddy" Byrd; her infant son, Joseph Bryd; parents, Jake and Margaret Krohn Husley; brother and sister-in-law, Teodia and Zora Husley; and her twin sister, Leona Hudson Krohn. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Byrd; her grandson, Joel Byrd and his wife, Rita of Biloxi; her granddaughter, Julie Byrd Davis and her husband, Tim, of Denver, CO; five great grandchildren, Jerry and Joseph Byrd, and Mitchell, Kyle and Lauren Davis; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Kitty Husley; and a special grandniece, Candy Tillman. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Lake United Methodist Church where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Morris-Williams Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of services.
