Lena Penton

Lena Penton, 68, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. She was born in Biloxi, where she was a longtime resident of Point Cadet. She worked many years in the seafood industry. She loved fishing, crafting and spent many hours researching genealogies. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Marie Speaker; granddaughter, Acadia Hebert and parents, Frank and Zoeia Penton. Lena is survived by her daughters, Della Desemar and Roseanna (Alan) Knewasser; sisters, Mary Penton (Roger) Ponthieux and Linda Penton Battise; grandchildren: Sabastian Linton, Brittany Ford, Drew Linton, Peyton Knewasser, Catherine Overstreet and Matthew Walker; great grandchildren: Hunter, Kimberly, Braxton, Ava, Moby and Brynnon. Visitation be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home.
