Mr. Trahan, age 84, of Biloxi, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Biloxi.
He was a lifelong resident of the coast. Leroy was a graduate of Biloxi High School, where he played basketball and football. He also was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. He played football for University of Southern Mississippi and Perkinston. Leroy enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired from Veterans Administration. He was a member of VFW and American Legion.
Preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Carver; parents, Honore' Joseph Trahan and Viola Gaudet Trahan; stepson Randy Bradley; sister, Lela Ridgeway; four brothers, Murphy Trahan, Claude Trahan, Andy Trahan and Morris Trahan.
Survived by two daughters, Michele Odom and Melissa (Wayne) Byars; three sons, Leroy (Lee) Trahan Jr., Kevin Trahan and Lance Trahan; three sisters, Lillian (Bert) Jenkins, Beatrice O’Meara and Gertrude Robichaux; brother, Sidney Trahan, Sr.; grandchildren: Adam (Hayley) Trahan, Courtney Blackmon, Michael (Laurie) Trahan, Amber (Josh) Danos, Austin Trahan, Autumn Trahan, Joseph Odom, Judson Byars, Claire Byars and Drew Bradley; six great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00am at Howard Avenue Chapel. Friends may visit from 9:30 to 11:00am. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery Friends may view and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
