Ligaya Tam Camagong, age 72, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Camagong was born in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Banking and Finance. Mrs. Camagong was a resident of Ocean Springs for 36 years where she served an array of jobs to include: Librarian at St. Alphonsus Elementary School, Guidance Counselor Assistant at Mercy Cross High School, Accounting Manager at Professional Home Health, and prior to retirement worked in the accounting department at the Beau Rivage Casino. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, crocheting, and gardening. Mrs. Camagong was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, & friend to many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tam Bao and Leonor Tam; and her brothers, Ponce Tam and Charles Tam.
Mrs. Camagong's survivors include her husband, Carl Camagong; her children, Michael, Gay and Hazel; her granddaughter, Haley; and her siblings, Hanfredo Tam, Albert Tam, Anna Ababao and Gregoria Gubuan.
A visitation will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm recitation of the Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
