Linda Eileen Allen, 78, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. She was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, on November 8, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Queenie Shank, sister Beatrice Shank-Long, and daughter Donna Ellis Nevills, and granddaughter LaShay Nevills. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Dianne Phillips; granddaughters, Tanisha Chaisson and Tina Fisher; and great-grandchildren, Elijah Zember, Jermiah Agee, Trisdan Burns, Treyson Fisher, Ty Fisher, Taylor Fisher, Daryan Nevills, and great-great granddaughter Leilanni Russell. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Dale & Angie Shank, Susan Shank Collins & Jeff Collins, and Fred & Mary Martha Shank.
Linda dedicated her life to caring for others, beginning her career as a nurse in the nursery and later providing in-home care to children with special needs. Her compassionate heart and selfless service touched many lives.
Outside of work, she brought joy to others through her love of karaoke and dancing—especially during her many evenings at the Elks Lodge.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home 15th Street, Gulfport.
Her love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
