Lloyd Harris of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Born on February 9, 1931, in Big Laurel, Kentucky, to Cindy and Daniel Harris, Lloyd grew up with a strong sense of family and hard work. He later made Ocean Springs his lifelong home, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and music.

From June 24, 1950, to September 9, 1953, Lloyd proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. His service was recognized with the Bronze Star Medal, a testament to his dedication and courage.

For 70 years, Lloyd shared an unwavering bond with his wife, Teresa Harris, a love story marked by devotion, partnership, and joy. Together, they raised a large and loving family, filling their home with the sounds of music, the smell of fresh gardens blooming, and the warmth of countless shared meals and stories.

Lloyd's greatest joy came from spending time with his family playing guitar for his children and grandchildren, tending to his garden, and passing down the simple pleasures of life.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Harris; his brothers, Buster Harris of Texas and John Henry of Michigan; and his children: David Harris (Carol) of Arkansas, Daniel Harris (Marti Schuman) of Ocean Springs, Cindy Harris (Joni Amburn) of Vancleave, Lindy Stewart (Jeff) of Ocean Springs, Sandra Ladner (Dale) of Ocean Springs, Deborah Fountain (Jack) of Biloxi, Dennis Ray Harris (Darlene Jones) of Ocean Springs, and Justin Harris (Bridget) of Vancleave.

Lloyd's legacy lives on through his grandchildren-Karri Greiner, Dusty Harris, Danielle Harris, David Harris, Robbie Stewart, Jeffrey Stewart, Zachery Stewart, Felicia Stewart, Barbara Brown, Jodi Everhart, Kasey Fountain, Jimmy Ladner, Jared Ladner, and Bridget Tyner-as well as his 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a part of his love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cindy and Daniel Harris, and his siblings, David Harris, Charlotte Gross, Mossie Day, and Bob Harris.

Lloyd will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and the joy he found in music, gardening, and family. His love and legacy will live on in all who knew him.
