Lona Fay Lamey Garlotte

Lona Fay Lamey Garlotte, age 65 , of Latimer, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. 

Born on October 13, 1959 in Biloxi, Ms, she was the beloved daughter of Cleve Lamey and Barbara Lamey Montgomery. She was known for her stubbornness and strong willed personality. No matter the situation she always had a way of bringing laughter to the table. She was definitely the good stuff.

Lona devoted her life to spending time with her husband Wayne and spoiling her nieces and nephews. Her funny wittiness but yet sweet and caring love touched the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by brothers Reginal (Mary) Lamey, Cleve Lamey Jr and Gussie (Debbie) Lamey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Wayne Garlotte, father, Cleve Lamey and mother, Barbara Lamey Montgomery.

 A 10 am graveside service, in celebration of her life, will be held on August 13th at Cleve Lamey Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories of her remarkable life. 

A heartfelt thank you to her special caregivers Tami Hudson, Abigail Ely, Sabrina Ely (David) and Eileen Cruthirds Stevenson during the last season of her life. You sure made a sparkle shine in her eye. Her love, warmth, and light will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
