Mrs. Luvelle Alice Malley Ross, age 82, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the home of Ranell and Karl Oberlies in Missouri City, Texas. Mrs. Ross was born in Pass Christian and was a resident of Gulfport for most of her life. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was a retired switchboard operator with Southern Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Ross; parents Willie and Pamela Garriga Malley; three sisters, Revina Netto, Gertrude Gonzales, and Pauline Geotes; and two brothers, Floyd Malley and Lee Malley.
She is survived by three daughters, Ranell (Karl) Oberlies of Texas, Deborah Ross of Georgia and Vivian Bunsey of Texas; a son, Richard (Cathy) Ross of Louisiana; three sisters, Gloria (Larry) Jones, Myra (Roland) Padgett, and Rita (M.L. Uyless) Perkins, all of Gulfport; two brothers, Roy Malley of Kiln and Willie Malley, Jr. of Gulfport; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
