Lynda Carol Thomaston Clark passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 peacefully at her home at the age of 77.
She was born in Kinston, AL on March 10, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Vancleave, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave.
Lynda received her Horticulture Degree from MGCCC Perkinston Campus. She loved working in her yard and growing flowers. Her hobbies also included painting and spending time with her faithful dog, Rudy.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Jasper and Pearl Thomaston; husband, Haywood Clark; sister, Winnie Merle Bolin; and brothers, Willard Wayne Thomaston and Edzel Thomaston.
She leaves behind to cherish her two boys and their families, Jeffrey Bryan Clark (Marie) and Timothy Neal Clark (Jennifer), four grandchildren, Justin Clark, Lauren Clark, Kaitlyn Clark, and Dakota Clark.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynda's caregivers, Minnie, Claira, Val and Tierra- y'all were such a blessing to Lynda and our family. Also, a special thank you to Hospice of Light and Catfish, her nurse.
Palbearers include Ronald Thomaston, Donald Thomaston, Joe Patterson, Brad Cox, Lindell Husley, and Bubba Gardner. Honorary pallbearers include Brian Clark and Blake Clark.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with an 11:00 a.m. service, all at the First Baptist Church of Vancleave. Interment will follow at Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
