Our beloved Mable Alice Beverin, age 85, of d’Iberville, MS was called home to the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2012.
Mable was born in Morganton, North Carolina as one of twenty-one children and lived in several places including New Jersey and Anniston, Alabama where she met her loving husband of sixty-six years, Mark Elmer Beverin. Mable called Biloxi and d’Iberville her home from 1945 to the time of her passing.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, cheering grandchildren and great-grandchildren on at sporting events, and making family and friends laugh.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents James Martin Suttle and Ethel Mae Suttle both of Morganton, North Carolina; numerous brothers, sisters, half-brothers and half-sisters.
Survivors include her husband Mark E. Beverin; son Johnny M. Beverin and wife Mindy; daughter Linda G. Beverin, son Michael A. Beverin and Paulette; daughter Wanda Gollott and husband Gary; granddaughter Sandra M. Boney and husband Stephen; granddaughter Jon’elle C. Swetman and husband Windy; grandson Kenneth D. Beverin and wife Leigh Ann; grandson Gary F. “Beau” Gollott, III; grandson Michael A. Beverin, Jr., granddaughter Cara M. Beverin; great-grandsons Andrew M. Boney, Windfield S. Swetman III and John Christian Swetman; great-granddaughters Julia M. Boney and Kenleigh M. Beverin; sister Nell Barrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Mable would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Light and Connie Cupples, Dr. Paul Pavlov and staff, and her kind caregivers Raven, Ebony, Jennifer, Treasa, Jameka and Pat.
Family is invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and friends are invited from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A rosary recitation will be at 9:00 a.m. All services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at d’Iberville Memorial Park, Gorenflo Road.
The family has requested donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
