Mrs. Mable Davis Sumrall, 92, of Ocean Springs died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Southern Heritage Personal Care Home in D'iberville. Mrs. Sumrall was born July 8, 1912 in Braxton, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Sumrall; her parents, George Barber and Maude Price Davis; a brother, Harry Davis and five sisters, Annie Lee Cooper, Bessie Edward, Ella Bell Russell, Alice Guy and Maude Zachary. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Goodwin Walker and her husband, Guy, of Ocean Springs and Barbara Langan and her husband, John, of Grand Rapids, MI; one son, B. J. "Jim" Sumrall, Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Ocean Springs; one brother, Robert Davis of El Cajon, CA; eight grandchildren, David Sumrall and his wife, Joyce, of Warner Robins, GA; Steven Sumrall of Mobile, AL; Barbara White and her husband, Don, of Montgomery, AL; Melynda Easterling and her husband, Keith, of Hattiesburg; Michael Goodwin and his wife, Dawn, of Germantown, TN; Mark Goodwin and his wife, Beth, of Jackson, TN; Kelli Langan of Grand Rapids, MI and John "Jay" Langan, III and his wife, Amber, of Grand Rapids, MI and fourteen great grandchildren, Matt Sumrall, Josh Sumrall, Locke White, James White, Mark White, Katie Map, Taylor Map, Elizabeth Map, Jared Easterling, Amber Goodwin, Davis Goodwin, Tucker Goodwin, Jack Goodwin and Isabella Langan. The family wishes to thank all care givers of Mrs. Sumrall during the time of her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to Gideon's Internatioinal, P. O. Box 1, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, with Dr. David L. Sumrall officiating at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
