Mrs. Mae Turner Weyerstall, 83, of Ocean Springs, MS died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Weyerstall was born April 14, 1921 in Theodore, Alabama and grew up in Mobile. She lived most of her married life in New Orleans and retired to Ocean Springs with her husband, Henry Weyerstall, in 1976. Mrs. Weyerstall majored in art at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She was a talented sculptress. She will be remembered for her kindness, love of life and the outdoors and her love of animals. She was a wonderful, loving mother and wife who will never be forgotten by her daughter and those who loved her. Mrs, Weyerstall was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Weyerstall; her parents, Hiram Allen Turner and Bessie Turner Dick; a brother, Roy Turner and sisters, Hazel Turner Cooney and Myrtle Turner Zesiger. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Derrel Brokl; brother in law, Bob Potter and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many good friends and her beloved little dog, Newt. Her family would like to thank Settler's Point Personal Care Home in Ocean Springs for their outstanding care and exceptional kindness and support during her residence there. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Dr. Donald Butcher and staff for their care and support during these past three years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 4 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit from 3:30 p.m. till service time. Graveside commital services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
