Maggie Nell Davis Fain entered into her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 82 years young.
She was born on April 23, 1930, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to Luther and Flossie Davis. She was married to Harold Fain and together, had two daughters. Maggie was a devoted member of Ocean Springs Church of Christ since 1960 and worked as a telephone operator and a beautician. She was an uplifting source of inner beauty and used her God-given talents to touch countless children over the years, both as a beloved Sunday school teacher and as a teacher in the Ocean Springs Public School System. She was also a dedicated volunteer with the Ocean Springs Hospital Auxiliary. Her servant heart was massively larger than her small frame, and she leaves behind loving memories with all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, as well as her daughter, Pam Lyons; her sister Naomi Dodson; and her brothers, Junius, Billy, Bill, and Stanley Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie and husband Eddie Irwin; her grandsons Tim Lyons and David Taranto; her granddaughter, Danielle and husband Shawn Cook; her great-grandsons, Ethan and Dawson Cook; her brother Lloyd Davis; and her nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Maggie Fain during a Visitation from 10:00am to noon on Saturday, January 19, 2013, with a Service immediately following at the Ocean Springs Church of Christ on Washington Avenue. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
