Margaret Katherine “Kathy” Dibble, age 64, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 (The Feast of St. Margaret Aliquoque) at her home in Gulfport.
Kathy was born on September 28, 1959, in Gulfport. She graduated from St. John Catholic High School. She was a devoted mother of 8 children, who all grew up to be practicing Catholics. Kathy always claimed that her greatest achievement, and God’s greatest gift to her, was to be a mother to such wonderful children.
Beginning in her teenage years, and continuing throughout her life, Kathy devoted her whole being to the success of the White Cap Seafood Restaurant, as a worker and later as an owner. Her devotion to the restaurant was borne from her love and admiration for her father, Carl Lizana, who she viewed as her role model and hero.
Kathy spent many hours of her week in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. She was a beloved child of the Rosary. She had a deep devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and the Passion of Our Lord.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Jeanette Lizana and her son, Andrew John Dibble.
Survivors include her sons, Joshua (Eileen), Jeremi, and Liam Dibble; daughters, Zoe Purnell (Paul), Sarah Hebert (Corey), Sheena Rester (Ryan), and Kayla Brewer (Alex); grandsons, Carl Dibble, Luke Purnell, Corey Hebert, Max Hebert, John Hebert, Owen Rester, Eli Rester, Oliver Brewer, and Roland Brewer; granddaughters, Lilyana Dibble, Anna Purnell, Camille Hebert, Margot Hebert, and Nova Brewer; brothers, Buck Lizana and Ray Lizana; and sister, Lucy Palazzo.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church. Friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Dibble family.
