Margaret Evans

Margaret Evans, age 85, of Gulfport passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016 in Gulfport. She was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a longtime member of Sunday School at First Baptist Biloxi and most recently a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gulfport. Along with her husband, Clyde, they owned and operated Evans Contract Carrier. Mrs. Evans enjoyed bowling and painting but she most loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Evans; and a daughter, Angie Evans. She is survived by a daughter, Annette (Mike) Racey; grandchildren, Jeremy Racey, Jason Evans (Amanda), Joshua Racey (Ashley), Travis Racey (Nichole), Alicia Racey, and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Racey, Kyra Racey, Jason Evans, and Annabelle Evans. The service is Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. A private interment will be held Friday.
