Margaret “Margie” Eva Sullivan Whitmyer, age 90, of Saucier, MS passed away on September 18, 2025.
Margie was born on June 22, 1935, to James Sullivan and Opal Cornwell in Trinidad, CO. She attended Trinidad High School and did secretary training in Junior College. Margie was a Ceramics instructor in Germany and worked as a Welder and Pipe fitter for Ingall’s Shipyard.
Her favorite hobby was selling fruits and vegetables on Highway 15 she was known as "The Tomato Lady". She was the most joyous, friendly, happy go lucky woman. Always smiling and waving to those passing by hoping to make their day better and hoping they stop by to buy a tomato or two.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sullivan and Opal Cornwell; her sister, Susie Jo Paquin; and her grandson, Steven Jackson.
Margie is survived by her children, Robert Whitmyer, Wanda Jackson, Charles Whitmyer, Marie Papale, Crystal Rands; grandchildren, Gillian Williams, Christian Mathers Angelina Guin, Robert Whitmyer and Shana Jackson; great grandchildren, Paisley Mathers, Kaitlyn Williams, Olivia Lange, Chloe Lang, Emma Lang, Annabel Rands, Axton Rands, Asher Rands; and pets, Eli and Arrow.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 28, 2025, at 470 Channel Mark Dr. in Biloxi from 11:00 AM- 6:00 PM.
