Maria Isabel Frallic of Diamondhead, MS passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
Maria grew up in Madrid, Spain before moving to Pensacola, FL where she met her husband and the love of her life, Bruce Frallic. Together they raised their three daughters who they leave behind: Susan Weldy (Jay), Karen Crumpton (Rich) and Diana Lynne Frallic. She is survived by four grandchildren: Krista Henson, Christopher Weldy (Arianna), Courtney Truss (Alex) and Thomas Weldy (Julieanne) as well as seven great grandchildren. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Tomás Alcalá Yévenes and Maria Del Carmen Fernández Lopez, brother Francisco Alcalá Fernández and sister Maria Teresa Alcalá.
Maria lived a full life as a homemaker dedicated to preparing gourmet and traditional Spanish meals for her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and created delicate hand embroidered linens in her youth. As a mother, she was a masterful teacher, instilling in her daughters the grace of manners and the art of social skills that have served them throughout their lives. With her love, she encouraged them to strive for excellence and to become resilient, compassionate individuals. She taught her daughters, through example, that the love and devotion between a husband and wife is the foundation of a successful marriage. Maria was known for her witty and unabashed responses in every day conversations. Her response to a department store clerk asking her “Will you be using your gold credit card today?”, Maria responded, “No, I will be using my green money.” Her most treasured gift was insisting her daughters attend Catholic school in their formative years, which provided them with their faith in our Lord, Jesus.
The Family would like to pay special thanks to their neighbors, Bruce and Stephanie Summers for their love and support.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead with visitation at 12:00 pm and the service at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or to Shriners Hospitals for Children (donate.lovetotherescue.org).
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Maria Isabel Frallic.
