Marie Anglada Broussard, 73, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Broussard was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral and retired from Biloxi Police Department where she was employed as a dispatcher. She was a member of the Fleur de Lis Ladies Auxiliary and North Bay Area Senior Citizens Association.
Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her parents, John Anglada, Jr. and Evelyn LeBatard Anglada, former husband, Milton Broussard;and two brothers, Perry Anglada and Blaize Anglada. She is survived by her daughter, Lyra (Robert) Schatzman; son, Shelton J. (Susan) Broussard; sisters, Evelyn Taylor and Carolyn (Scott) Waters; brothers, John "Joe" Anglada and Michael Anglada; and five grandchildren, Robert Schatzman, II, Frank "TJ" Schatzman, Patrick Broussard, Stephen Broussard and Daniel Schatzman.
Visitation is 5 until 8 p.m., rosary at 7 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2011, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
