Mark Edgar Hinton, Sr.

Mark Edgar Hinton, age 67, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin Hinton and Joshua “Josh” Hinton; his brother, William Jeffrey “Jeff” Hinton; his foster brother, Ira “Clinton” May; his mother, Esther Wilson; and his father, William “Bill” Hinton. 

Mark is survived by his sons, Devin “Bubba” (Grace) Hinton and Mark Hinton II; his grandsons, Rylan Hinton, Gavyn Hinton, and Oliver “Ollie” Hinton; his sister, Karen (Bill) Korb; and his beloved cat, Nacho.

Mark dedicated many years to serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast as an electrician and later operated his own business, J&B Powder Coating. He was truly a jack of all trades.

Mark enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including fishing, camping, woodworking, and admiring antique cars. He loved music, especially AC/DC, and treasured spending time with his family and friends. One of Mark’s greatest joys in life was traveling across the Southeast to watch his sons, Josh and Bubba, race four-wheelers in competitions. His boys were always his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to support and cheer them on.

Mark leaves behind many loving family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply and forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
