Mark Louis Taylor, 60, of Gautier, MS died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Gautier.
Mark was born on April 29, 1958 in Biloxi, MS and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He attended the Jackson County Exceptional School and Singing River Sheltered Workshop. He was employed at the D’Iberville Winn Dixie for many years until Hurricane Katrina. When Katrina forced his retirement, he was not happy! Mark was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until he moved to Gautier after the death of his beloved mother, Edna Taylor. He resided in the loving care of his sister, Mary Lowe, and the assistance of his special Angel, until he shared his joyful presence with River Chase Village. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Gautier.
Mark was an athlete with the Dream Program of Ocean Springs, MS. He greatly loved the fellowship of Dream Team members, volunteers and program friends. He was an enthusiastic football fan who would lean in with a twinkle in his eye and “tell you something” about his Cowboys and Saints.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Cameil L. Taylor, III, and his parents, Cameil and Edna Taylor.
Survivors include his sister, Mary L. Lowe (Michael); brother, S. John Taylor (Sandy); sister, Katherine P. Taylor (Michael); sister, Amelia E. Taylor (Michael); niece, Stefanie E. Seay (Brian); nephew, John W. Taylor (Jessica); niece, Taylor M. Windham (Brad); great niece, Blythe M. Seay; great nephew, Donovan Z. Seay; great nephew, Ezra C. Seay; great niece, Fallen G. Seay; and his beloved Aunt Earlean Scarborough.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home with a 7:00 pm rosary. On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 809 De La Pointe Drive, Gautier, MS, 39553. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
