Martha Rand D'Amico

Martha Rand D’Amico, age 90, of Gulfport died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, July 31, 2014, in Gulfport. Martha’s love of golf was evident throughout her entire life. She never missed the opportunity to laugh and socialize with friends on the golf course. Her love of Christ was profound, she was a member of the Mississippi City United Methodist Church. Martha and her sister Betty traveled the world, met new friends wherever they went, played bridge and gin rummy, whenever the opportunity came about. Martha lived her life, not fearing the storm, but dancing in the rain. Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Rand. Mrs. D’Amico is survived by her son Tommy Rand and Carolyn of Gulfport; her daughter Dana Martin of Woodbridge, VA; her sister Betty Woodward of Shawnee, OK; three grandchildren Christie Strong of Long Beach, Clay Rand of Denver, CO, and Harold Martin of Woodbridge, VA; and two great grandchildren Jake and Isabella Strong of Long Beach. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at BRADFORD-O’KEEFE FUNERAL HOME, 15TH St., Gulfport where friends may visit one hour before the service.
