Mary Ann Barnett

Mary Ann Barnett, 82, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her home in Woolmarket, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Ann was born on January 25, 1944, in Gulfport, MS, to Don and Mary Scott. She lived with a grateful heart and found joy in life’s simple blessings—camping trips, sunny days at the beach, quiet hours painting, and tending to her flower gardens. She especially loved making memories while traveling and vacationing with the love of her life, Oliver Barnett. Above all else, Mary Ann treasured time with her family, who were always the center of her world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Scott and Mary Scott, and her brother, Jerry Lee Scott.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Oliver Barnett; her children, Donna Lynn Ponson (Jeffery) and Timothy Barnett (Sharon); her grandchildren, Melissa Toothman (Joe), Scotty Ponson, Tony Barnett (Ashlyn), Julie Barnett May (Brandon), Hannah Nash, John Nash, Cody Nash (Roger King); her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Gracie Rose, Hannah, Ty, Oakleigh, Wyatt, Letty, Myrtle, Miles, and Laiklynn; and her siblings, Don Scott (Tanya), Harriet Picard (Gilbert), Russell Scott (Christine), Christine Trombley (Tommy), and Barbara Reddicks (George).

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 12:30 pm. Friends may visit from 11:30 am until service time.
